Parent Visa (subclass 103)
This permanent visa lets a parent of a settled Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen move to Australia.

Parent Visa (SUBCLASS 103)
Eligibility
You cannot apply for this visa if you already hold or have applied for a Sponsored Parent (Temporary) (subclass 870) visa.
Retiree Application: As a retiree, you can apply for a Parent visa (subclass 103) if, on 8 May 2018, you held or had previously held an Investor Retirement (subclass 405) visa or Retirement (subclass 410), and have not held any other substantive visa between 8 May 2018 and your Parent visa application date. In this case, you are exempt from the balance of family test, assurance of support, and sponsorship requirements.
Sponsorship Requirement: If you don’t apply as a retiree, sponsorship by an eligible sponsor is mandatory, usually an eligible child. For applicants under 18, sponsorship by an eligible relative or community organization is acceptable, subject to approval.
Assurance of Support Exception for Retirees: Retirees applying for the visa exemption from the assurance of support requirement.
Health, Character, and Debt Requirements: Fulfill health and character requirements, settle any debts to the Australian Government, and have a clean visa history with no cancellations or refusals. Health insurance is also required.

Options After 5 Years: After the initial 5-year travel facility, apply for a Resident Return (RRV) for re-entry or consider Australian citizenship.
Retiree Exemptions: Retirees applying for the subclass 103 visa are exempt from meeting the balance of family test, sponsorship, and assurance of support requirements.
Duration of Stay: This is a permanent visa, allowing indefinite stay in Australia.
Including Family: Family unit members can be included in the application, with details required for all family members, migrating or not. Family members applying for the visa must meet health and character requirements, even if not coming to Australia.
Retiree Partner Inclusion: Retiree applicants can include their retired partners in the application but cannot include children.
Cost and Instalments: The visa costs from AUD4,990.00, with an additional charge for each family member. Payment is divided into two instalments.
