Requirements To Be Met:

  • Hold an eligible engineering qualification from a recognised institution in the past 24 months.
  • You are 31 years of age or younger.
  • You must not have applied or hold the Skilled Recognised visa and Temporary Graduate Visa subclass 485 (unless you were a dependent family member).
  • Meet health and character requirements.

Recognized Institutes:

  • Institutions providing an Engineering qualification with Washington Accord accreditation are deemed recognised.

In the absence of Washington Accord recognition for your institute, a qualification from any of the following institutions is accepted:

  • Chemical Engineering
  • Mechanical, Production, and Plant Engineering
  • Structural Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Instrument & Control Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Master’s Degree
  • Doctoral Degree
  • Postgraduate Diploma

Health Requirements:

  • Health examinations vary based on activities in Australia, citizenship, and time spent in countries over the past five years.
  • Applies to both the visa holder and listed family members, regardless of migration intentions.
  • Results from health examinations are valid for 12 months.

Character Requirements:

  • Provide a police certificate demonstrating no criminal convictions in the last 10 years.
  • Submit a police certificate from each country lived in for 12 months or more in the past 10 years after turning 16.

Have not held this visa:

You cannot have been the main visa holder for a Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) or a Skilled – Recognised Graduate (subclass 476) previously, unless it was as a family member.

English Language Requirements:

  • Present evidence of specified English language tests.
  • Achieve an overall score of 50 in Pearson Test of English (PTE) or a band score of 6 in International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or an equivalent score in TOEFL iBT, OET, or CAE.

Family Members:

  • Eligible family members for the visa application include your spouse and your or your partner’s child/stepchild.

Cost:

  • The main applicant incurs a visa cost of AUD465.00.
  • Additionally, there is a charge for each accompanying family member applying for the visa with you.
